About The owner

Hi, I’m Dana' Washington—educator, entrepreneur, and the proud founder of Zeal Academy.  

My journey in early childhood education spans over a decade, working in schools, youth programs, and educational leadership roles. I hold an active Texas Director Credential and am currently completing my Master’s in Education with a focus on Curriculum & Instruction and Educational Leadership. I’ve also worked in various childcare centers and special education settings, where I gained a deep appreciation for creating learning environments that meet each child where they are.

Zeal Academy was born from my passion to help children grow into confident, capable, and compassionate leaders. I believe in nurturing the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally while also encouraging early financial literacy, creativity, and sustainability skills.

As a mother of two girls, I understand the value of safe, enriching spaces for our children to thrive. My goal is to create a preschool where families feel supported and children are truly seen, heard, and prepared for a lifetime of learning.
